The eye is easy to fool. Light arrives — the brain invents the rest. We design the invention.
Mirage is a studio for perceptual design. We build identities, interfaces and rooms that negotiate directly with the human visual system — no decoration, only mechanics. Every piece on this page is running live, and every one of them is lying to you.
Fixate on the cross. Count to ten. The dots dissolve — your retina simply stops reporting them. Nothing here moves; nothing needs to.

How a mirage is made
Four passes. No decoration. Keep scrolling — the studio moves sideways.

Measure the eye
We map the viewer's assumptions — contrast hunger, perspective bias, pattern completion — before a single pixel moves.
Bend the grid
Geometry is tuned until perception slips: lines lean, circles spiral, still water begins to run.
Hide the seam
The mechanism is engineered invisible. If you can find how the trick works, we start over.
Test on humans
Retinas only, no instruments. If three designers in a row say "wait—" out loud, it ships.
Don't believe us?
Commissions, exhibitions, perceptual audits of existing brands. Replies within two days — written by a human, checked by an eye.
